On Friday 19th July Birchwood joined forces with Swingers Golfing Society for a 2nd year running hosting a charity golfing day and summer ball at Hurlston Hall. Supported by many local businesses, the event raised over £10,0000 which will go towards supporting vulnerable adults and young people.

88 golfers took to the greens at Hurlston Hall for a day of charity golf and were joined by Everton Football Club Legend and Boxing Legend ‘The Bomber’, Tony Bellew

Ollie Crotch sent the Birchwood Charity Golf day through the roof by hitting a magical winning shot, achieving a hole in one and celebrated his £5,000 win in style. Ollie generously donated £1000 back to Birchwood.

Ollie said: 'This is the kind of day you dream off, a hole in one, winning £5,000 and supporting Birchwood a fabulous charity it doesn't get much better than this”. Andy O'Sullivan from Swingers Golf Society was the inspiration behind the 5k sponsorship and was delighted to see this pay off on the day.

The Charity Golf day and Charity Ball really shines a light on the generosity of Swingers Golf Society, local businesses and communities who donated so generously because they want and can make a difference to people’s lives.

We cannot thank Lee Caffrey from Proteus Facades, Michael Connell, Andy O'Sullivan, Paul Wilson and Leon Osman (former Everton player) enough for believing in Birchwood. The event was fantastic and raised an amazing amount of money, that will help our Charity so much.
